Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^

Now that's out of the way and you all know about these despicable people, let's get down to the main point of this journal.

Most of you know about the horrible elementary school shooting that occurred in Connecticut. Well, the WBC wants to crash the funerals of the victims' of the shooting because they believe that God willed the shooting in order to punish the people of Connecticut for allowing gay marriage.

O_O

Okay, seriously, what the fuck? I am not religious but if God did exist, I can guarantee that he would not approve of the mindless murder of twenty-eight people just because of the legalization of gay marriage.

The people who run the WBC are heartless individuals who just want to force their selfish and twisted beliefs upon others. They don't represent the Christian religion and they most certainly don't represent God.

I really do hope that they can be prevented from ruining these up-coming funerals. The survivors, the victims' families, and the state of Connecticut itself do not need to see or hear of the WBC's bullshit right now.

There was a massacre in my high school. Westboro babtist church cheered that it was God's revenge to "country that supports gay agenda" (is that a fact, no comment)... It's been over 5 years now and I still remember it clearly, but I'm done with anger. All I want to tell them is that there will be the final judgment they believe in. Before that day, I focus on spreading love.

Honestly, as a Catholic I can safely say this "church" missed the whole "love thy neighbor" message Christ preached.

And I studied my catechism and the history of the church all throughout high school, and it never once said that God punishes innocent people for others' sins. Yes, He allows bad things to happen, but He does that to test our love and faith. That's what I believe.
